Probably to keep his enemies from breaching his mind, even if they are experienced at this. *ducks from a group of maces flying towards her head, a trap she triggered without noticing* That was too close.

Hope: It's no use, he doesn't want to see me, or speak to me again. He hates me! *she then curls up, no longer wishing to talk*

Spyro: Well try to talk to him, ill sure he'll listen.... *Spyro then turns back to Cynder, he knew that Hope had a lot to sink in, and she needed Space, he goes to Cynder's side, and kisses her* I sure was her knight in shining armor..... *teasingly* but im sure Cynder would not agree
